Installing, configuring and Maintenance on Sun Solaris 8,9,10, Red Hat Linux (3.0, 4.0, 5.0) and ESX servers. Installation and Configuration of DHCP, HTTP, TFTP, FTP servers. Knowledge of networking (TCP/IP, Ethernet), FTP, NFS, NIS, DNS, DHCP and RAID levels. Responsible for installation of remote servers using jumpstart, kickstart methods. Applying minimum and full updates and reboot every month to all Red hat servers. Applying patches to all UNIX servers, ESX servers, VMware and Oracle. Working closely with application team during patches and deployments. Managing on Data power by Adding and removing certificates. Resolving Incidents by finding the root cause of the issues. Performing Change order as per instructions given by the requestor or application people. Updating Front end and middle ware applications (Apache, Tomcat, Jboss and Weblogic). Working closely with Data base administrator by moving the database from one system to another or in RAC cluster. Expertise in VERITAS Volume manager (VxVM), Creating new file systems, mounting file systems and unmounting file systems. Efficiency in installing, configuring and implementing the RAID Technologies using various tools like VERITAS volume manager, Solaris volume manager & Logical Volume manager. Wrote the shell scripts for automated the processes using at, cron, and batch jobs. Experienced in monitoring system performance and check the status of the system using utilities such as TOPAS, VMSTAT, IOSTAT. Must have strong experience and working closely in Data center. Must have good understanding on Air transport communications, baggage solutions, Tuxedo, Comms, Subloader. Configured SUDO and granted root permission to users for performing certain activities. Responsible for Installation and configuration of Linux based virtualization such as Xen and VMWare. Job Location: Birmingham, AL. Must be willing to travel to client sites. Maximo Database Administrator
Obtain client parameters in order to design, develop and construct database applications using MAXIMO technologies. Must be proficient in Database Configuration and Administration using MAXIMO database configuration, application designer, security controls, users and organization settings throughout the software life-cycle.
